WOOD DECKS
Yes, wood is still a popular option, and the most affordable. It’s easy to see why: wood is easy to source, and it has a warm, familiar look that blends with most homes and yards. However, wood decks have more maintenance than our Timbertech/Azek® decks.
That is why Charley’s Decks only uses kiln dried Pressure Treated Lumber that has had chemical preservatives forced into the grain of the wood using a high-pressure technique. These chemicals help increase rot and insect resistance. Pressure-treated lumber can be made from a huge variety of wood types, but our better-quality wood creates a better-quality result.
This option still needs to be sealed and maintained for the best life span. Many varieties of pressure-treated wood come with a limited lifetime warranty, but the lifespan referred to under the warranty may mean anything from 20 to 50 years.

Add a covered portion of your deck that will match your homes exterior. Charley’s Decks can offer many options for your covered deck as well from skylights, fans, LED lighting, knotty pine ceiling, and many more options.
Standard features include:
- 5″ aluminum gutters to match your existing colors.
- Posts and beams will be wrapped in white PVC trim.
- Shingles to match your existing style and color.
- Electrical to (4) can lights and (1) fan.
